Our story begins with boating. Our family of four fell in love with the tiny spaces and togetherness that boating brings—with each other and the community. Rafting our boat to other boats created wonderful memories: potlucks, impromptu group swims, dogs running from boat to boat, and our daughters playing with new and old friends.

Because we can’t boat in the wintertime in New England, we started skiing together as a family, which led us to purchasing Boulder Mountain View in 2019. We brought our vision for small space living and community to its construction. The existing cottages were transformed into contemporary tiny homes where every space is used efficiently and elegantly. The communal fire pit became a place where our tiny home guests—adults, children, pets — could come together to share drinks, food, conversation, and of course s’mores!

One of our favorite parts of our weekend wedding in Newport many years ago was that all of our guests were on the same property. Our favorite memories are of family and friends gathering each evening around the bonfire. To recreate this experience for our tiny home guests, we built our Barn and Carriage House to be able to host weddings, reunions, and company gatherings.
